The Zwiesel Fortessa Group with Headquarters in Germany is a global leader in the tabletop industry. With our brands Schott Zwiesel, Zwiesel Glas and Fortessa we are among the global leaders in the HoReCa and premium Retail. We are standing for innovative and premium-quality glass, porcelain and cutlery products that set benchmarks in our tabletop industry.
We have been successfully positioned in the Japanese premium HoReCa and retail market with our subsidiary in Tokyo for more than 20 years.
As part of a succession plan, we are looking for a sales-oriented Managing Director for our subsidiary in Japan, who enjoys developing B2B and B2C partnerships and will successfully continue to drive the initiated growth plan forward to become a comprehensive tabletop solution provider.
- Partner & Key Account Management: Build and develop strong, trust-based relationships with customers across B2B and B2C channels (HoReCa distribution, retail, offline, and eCommerce) to ensure sustainable growth and mutual success
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in premium retail, wine trade, and HoReCa, collaborating closely with the sales team to drive market expansion and revenue growth
- P&L Management: Take full accountability for P&L management, focusing on optimizing performance and implementing targeted measures in Sales & Marketing to achieve strategic goals
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of 10 employees, fostering effective collaboration and driving continuous improvement across sales, eCommerce, customer service, and logistics operations
- Market Presence & Representation: Visit key partners in Japan, represent the company at trade shows, and participate in occasional business trips to Europe for alignment with headquarters
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze business performance, market trends, and key metrics, delivering regular reports and actionable insights to the Headquarters in Germany
- Sales Expertise: Proven sales experience with a premium brand in a two-tier distribution model, ideally within the tabletop or premium consumer goods sector
- Channel Strategy Knowledge: Deep understanding of dealer models, key account management, and channel strategy development in both B2C and B2B markets
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in leading and coaching medium-sized teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration and driving results
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive mindset with the ability to think and act like an entrepreneur, taking ownership of initiatives and driving them forward
- Language Skills: Fluency in Japanese and English is required
- A high-impact management role with visibility and entrepreneurial freedom
